Alexandra Camp Art Show

Come join us on August 21st from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Chapel for an art show with Artist in Residence, Alexandra Camp. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. This is a free event and open to all.

Alexandra Camp is a multimedia artist focused on quilting/textile/patchwork/dye. Based in Somerville, MA near her childhood home, she is inspired by the influence of people on place, place on people, and explores the destruction, alchemy, and reciprocity of this relationship through natural plant dyes and textile waste. With no formal art background, she is guided by the scrappiness of trial and error, wisdom of traditional crafters, and generosity of skill-sharing. Through this spirit, she has participated in Open Studios, hosted workshops through the KMW School of Painting, held craft nights for friends seeking inspiration, and tabled at local DIY markets.
