DESCRIPTION:An Evening with Rick Miller & Elliot Rappaport at Lincoln Theater! \nJoin us for a captivating evening of maritime exploration and storytelling featuring two seasoned captains: \nRick Miller: Recently retired as Professor and Dean of Faculty at Maine Maritime Academy\, Rick spent over 40 years combining his passion for sailing with a career in education. He taught navigation and seamanship courses\, served as Master aboard various training vessels (including the schooner Bowdoin on a trip to Greenland’s west coast)\, and continues to sail annually as Master with the Sea Education Association. \nElliot Rappaport: A captain in the U.S. maritime industry since 1992\, Elliot focuses on training mariners aboard traditional sailing ships. Currently a faculty member at Maine Maritime Academy\, he has also worked extensively with the Sea Education Association. Elliot will be signing copies of his book\, Reading the Glass: A Captain’s View of Weather\, Water\, & Life on Ships\, immediately following the lecture. \nDon’t miss this opportunity to delve into the world of ocean navigation\, maritime education\, and life at sea with two expert sailors who have dedicated their careers to guiding and inspiring others.
