Sammy Loper Art Show

Come join us Sunday Evening with our Artist in Residence (& previous apprentice), Sammy Loper.

Sammy is a multidisciplinary artist working with a range of materials, including wood, glass, paper, and textiles. Their primary focus is on light, color, and texture, creating abstract quilts using recycled and repurposed fabrics. For this residency, Sammy will dive into the art of quilting, creating pieces inspired by the nature and community surrounding the boat shop. They also plan to explore the rich history of quilting, both globally and specific to the local area, to expand their connection to the craft and its cultural significance.
